C2A has prospered for 70 years due to the combined efforts of many highly committed professionals.

Our future will depend upon an equally talented leadership team helping the broader team to deliver personal outcomes for our participants. Ultimately, the organisation is governed by a Board of Directors who volunteer their services for the good of the people whom we serve.

Tim-Crowe

TIM CROWE – Chair from 29 April 2022

(Director since 2012) 

Tim Crowe joined Ranfurlie Asset Management, the private investment arm of the Dennis Family, in November 2018 and has more than 40 years experience in construction and property development in the commercial, residential, and retail sectors. Prior to his commencement, Tim was with Vicinity Centres as a senior development executive where he successfully completed development projects at Arndale, Cranbourne, and Mandurah Forum shopping centres. 

At Ranfurlie, Tim focuses on, Joint Venture opportunities, future mixed use development opportunities and expansion of the existing shopping centre portfolio. 

GORDON-FRANKLAND

GORDON FRANKLAND - Vice Chair 

(Director since 2011) 

With an extensive background in building and construction, Gordon was a member of the Housing Industry Association from 1980 until 2014 and Regional Executive Victoria Committee Member from 1980 to 2002 as well as Technical Committee Member from 1980 to 2014.

 

He has also spent many years giving back to his community. He was a member of the Frankston Jaycees from 1972 – 1988 before joining Frankston Central Rotary Club in 1990 until 2006. 

MARC DI GENOVA - Treasurer 

(Director since 2018) 

Marc has been in public practice since 1999, and prides himself on his proactive approach and the long-term business relationships he builds with his clients. As a Business Services Partner at Ashfords and a trusted advisor, Marc is proud of the results he’s achieved in working with clients to help them improve their financial wellbeing. 

Not a typical accountant, Marc works tirelessly to understand his clients, their families, their businesses, and their goals. Marc makes it his mission to help clients achieve their financial aspirations as if they were his own. 

IAIN SPEAR

(Director since 2023) 

Iain has been a company Director for many years in the UK in the Seafood (processing and catching) sector and has sat on a number of UK wide fisheries groups, working with a variety of stakeholders including other industry members, senior civil servants, NGOs, Supermarkets and Scientists.

He was also a trustee for his local Hospice, although his time in this role was short as he emigrated to Australia with his family.

Since moving to Australia in 2022, Iain has joined his local Rotary club and now C2A and is eager to "give back".

LISA CHARTER 

(Director since 2020) 

Lisa Charter is a marketing management professional with a demonstrated career track record of delivering business success through the development of innovative and highly effective marketing strategies, inspirational team leadership and extensive stakeholder relationship building.


Her key areas of expertise are brand direction and strategic marketing, media and communication strategy and delivery. She is a Fellow Associate Marketer, a Certified Marketing Manager and lecturer for Course Advisory Education Marketing. She has also received numerous marketing awards.

CON TSOUKAS

(Director since January 2023)

Con is a highly experienced senior executive and business owner developing Data & Information Technology Solutions, Digital Marketing and Marketing Communications Programs for over 30 years.

With a strategic and creative background in marketing, he has implemented initiatives and campaigns that have built brands and increased market shares in the consumer and corporate sectors.

His technology expertise has resulted in complicated data management and interactive technologies solutions for some of Australia’s influential corporates and major organisations.

With personal experience in disability, Con brings a knowledgeable and future driven skillset to C2A to provide purpose and inclusion for people living with disability.

Nazih_Raffou

NAZIH RAFFOUL

(Director since September 2023)

Nazih is a seasoned professional with a solid 15 year background in dispute resolution in both the government and private sectors. Holding a Juris Doctor degree and a Bachelor of Business Management (along with various other qualifications), Nazih brings a unique blend of legal and business knowledge to the table.

Throughout his career, Nazih has had a passion for ensuring fairness and justice. From investigating and resolving complex disputes for various ombudsmen to ensuring that he is a guiding force in helping people achieve justice. 

Nazih applies his extensive experience to create a harmonious and productive environment. His expertise across various industries and sectors, combined with a strategic approach, makes him a valuable asset in ensuring that everyone's voice is heard.


STEVEN JOHNSTON - CEO 

(since May 2022)

Steven had over 10 years leading a group of 450 independent optometry practices, two years in charge of Repco Australia, 14 years in independent hardware, and eight years managing Black & Decker power tools. 40 years in corporate roles enables Steven to bring a commercial perspective to a disability social enterprise. 

Steven’s goal is to ensure that C2A has a sustainable business model that underpins the organisation’s ability to deliver quality services to the wonderful people who utilise our services.
